The course guides on this site are arranged by the level of skill, fitness, and gear they require. Each course guide also provides maps as well as information for hikers such as mountain huts, hot springs, food and drink, and more. Here's how to use the course guides.
Grades

Here we explain the route from the departure point to the arrival point. The names of mountains and places are given in English along with a transliteration of the Japanese name. Please note that the course times in the text do not include rest periods.

Notes
Here we provide important notes on hiking the mountains based on the characteristics such as the surface profile of the trails and possible danger spots.
